Whether you attended our Evolving Food Futures event at OmVed Gardens in June or are interested in actively creating change within our current food systems, you are invited to join this meet-up to collectively reflect on the topic and share ideas, projects and resources within the field. This initial meeting will hopefully be a springboard for creating an online and offline community of people committed to creating change within our current food systems. We are keen to share some ideas and hear from others on what’s needed and how we can foster a culture of action and collaboration.
Schedule: 6PM - Arrival and teas 6:30 - 7:15 - Community Braistorm 7:15 - 7:45 - Discussion on a potential project to encourage ‘good food’ within a hospital: Brainstorm Open for Collaboration 7:45 - 8:30 - Free flow with nibbles and tea About OmVed Gardens: Since 2017, we have been carefully restoring a previously tarmacked land in Highgate Village, north London, to provide a space to explore food, creativity and ecology for health and climate resilience. We are a community interest company featuring a permaculture garden, a creative zero-waste kitchen and a growing educational, events and exhibition space. Our aims are to realise our deep entwinement with each other and the more-than-human, through thinking around food, gardening and ecological awareness, to improve diversity at all levels (seed, food, species, participation) and to use creativity and nature-led knowledge to help tackle the climate emergency. www.omvedgardens.com · @omvedgardens
