A virtual Chef’s Manifesto London Action Hub event hosted by Omved Gardens focused on the United Nations Food Systems Summit 2021 Action Track 1 (Access to Safe and Nutritious Food for All). This will be followed by an official UNFSS Dialogue co-convened by Omved Gardens and the Chefs Manifesto on 7th July (10am-12:30pmGMT) as a follow up to the event and a chance for the audience to have their ideas heard and submitted to the Food System Summit.
The triple burden of malnutrition – undernutrition, hidden hunger and overweight – threatens the survival, growth and development of children and young people worldwide. Well-nourished children are better able to grow, learn, participate in their communities and be resilient in the face of adversity. It is vital that health policy and practice recognise the distinct needs and ensure that services are tailored to meet the changing needs of young people. Investing in the learner now is an investment in the future.
Join us for a morning of inspiration and high level conversation as we learn from some of the chefs, people and organisations making a tangible difference to children’s nutrition such as Food For Life, Chefs in Schools, World Food Programme, the Jamie Oliver Group, Act4Food Act4Change campaign by Food Foundation and many more to come.
Audience members who are interested in having their ideas heard about how we can feed all children better – we are holding an official United Nations Food System Summit Dialogue on the 7th July – contact Jennifer from Omved Gardens at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to join!
