A Day of Ayurvedic Workshops

Join us to explore seasonal living inspired by the ancient principles of Ayurveda.

Ayurveda Routine

We begin the day with a brief introduction to Ayurveda.

Take a Dosha quiz after that to know your Dosha. We then learn about an ideal morning routine that Ayurveda suggests as per the season.

Enjoy 75 mins of asana, pranayama and meditation as part of this routine.

This will be followed by a nourishing vegan brunch during which you learn more about Ayurveda and its principles on diet, food and lifestyle, with a specific focus on the summer season.

This workshop is hosted by Priya Raghavan, Founder of Earthen Living, with yoga led by Jess Long and live music by Gareth Jones.

**Limited earlybird tickets available at £35 morning session/£35 afternoon session (£40 full price for each thereafter). **

Bespoke Botanical Oils

In the afternoon, you will learn about a few common plants in the garden and their uses in skincare. We will then smell, test and explore the properties of some carrier and essential oils. You will then be guided to blend your own botanical oil to take home to use for your summer skincare routine.

This workshop is hosted by Mugdha, creator of Kindred + Wild.

A self care routine is rather incomplete without looking after the skin, our biggest organ. We begin the afternoon with an introduction to the multiple uses and benefits herb-infused oils for skincare. Then the workshop is split in three parts.

Kindred + Wild’s first collection celebrated the plants and their powers hidden in plain sight – herbs and flowers which grow in the gardens, meadows and parks in the UK. You will have seen them, recognise them and may even be cooking with some of them. But somehow their virtues, especially in skincare, are lost on us. We will learn about a few of such common plants, their healing benefits on our walk in the garden. I will also share my knowledge on how to use them.

Ayurveda suggests ‘Abhangya’ (oil massage) as part of the daily routine. Oils are infused with specific herbs and used to massage the head, body and for general skincare. They moisturise, cleanse and detoxify the skin. Combining the knowledge of herbal medicine and Ayurveda, we will learn about the healing properties of up to 10 carrier oils and 10 essential oils through smell and skin test.

You will be guided to make your own blend of oil using the ingredients we have been testing for you to take home. I will be on hand to answer your questions and help you with the recipes.
