School Visits
We offer free curriculum-linked sessions to all state schools, tailored to your year group’s needs that support the National Curriculum whilst inspiring curiosity and creativity in an outdoor setting.
Our schools programme allows children to experience the joy and importance of being outside and growing food.
Each session is led by our dedicated team of educators, chefs, ecologists and gardeners, who bring a wealth of knowledge to engage pupils in meaningful, practical outdoor learning.
Importantly, these sessions are not just for warm weather. We embrace the seasons, providing thoughtful, hands-on experiences that engage the senses, encourage physical activity, explore nutrition, and nurture care for the natural world. And when the weather turns, we have recently finished building our new indoor space The Barn, a dedicated warm, dry space so learning can continue comfortably all year round.
Since 2022 OmVed Gardens has provided outdoor and garden education in partnership with Camden Public Health. Primarily working with a local school in the London Borough of Camden, we are now thrilled to extend our work to other state schools across London. The partnership has three main objectives:
To have a measurable impact on mental wellbeing.
To engage public school children with the natural world.
To support children in learning where food comes from.
We are deeply proud of this work, and believe that a good future lies at the intersection of education and an understanding of our natural world. This programme encompasses the practical nature of what we hope for children and the future, and the joy and importance of digging in the soil and being outdoors.
