Since 2022, OmVed Gardens has been proud to partner with Brookfield School to offer outdoor education that connects children to the natural world. Our programme focuses on three key goals: boosting mental wellbeing, nurturing a connection to nature, and teaching where food comes from.

This Spring, we welcomed Years 1–3 from Brookfield Primary School for a series of inspiring sessions led by our gardeners, artists, and ecologists. From witnessing frogs in the pond to planting mange-tout and wildflower seeds, the children immersed themselves in the magic of the seasons and the rhythms of the garden.
Inside our new event space, The Barn, students explored plant science through fun art projects and hands-on experiments. This term also had a special focus on nutrition—zooming in on leaves and how both plants and people depend on them. Garden-fresh salads, herbs, chard, kale, and ferments were tasted with delight in our kitchen garden.
Each session is designed in collaboration with teachers and follows the rhythm of the seasons, combining movement, sensory play, ecology, composting, wildlife, and creative exploration.
At OmVed, we believe the future depends on how well we understand and care for the natural world. Our school sessions aim to plant seeds of curiosity and joy that will grow for years to come.
