Introducing the OmVed 2025 Programme & Vision

News

We are excited to unveil the vision for the OmVed Gardens 2025 programme —a journey where ecology, food, and creativity converge as pathways to well-being and climate resilience.

Our overarching theme, Growing Resilience, reflects the power of sowing seeds —both literal and metaphorical— to cultivate ideas and actions that can foster a thriving and enduring future.

Launching with "Into the Seeds of Time"

The programme begins with the evocative exhibition "Into the Seeds of Time," which encapsulates Vivienne Schadinsky’s artist residence at OmVed in 2024 and explores the potential of beans, the seeds of legumes, for human and planetary health. This exhibition sets the stage for a dynamic series of courses, workshops, conversations, performances, and community events designed to inspire learning, creativity, and collective action.

Curating this programme has been much like composting —slow, organic, and ever-evolving. We continue to learn from the soil we nurture, the garden’s inhabitants, and the collaborations we build. At its core, the programme is shaped around three key pillars essential for both human and planetary well-being:

Wild Learning

How can the garden teach us to live, eat, and feel better? Through immersive experiences like guided garden tours, habitat monitoring, composting, seed saving, and species identification, we’ll explore nature’s intricate tapestry together.

Healthy Habits

Well-being starts with small, mindful choices. From incorporating more plant-based foods into our diets to exploring herbal medicine, foraging, and meditation, these workshops offer practical tools for healthier living —reminding us that caring for ourselves and the planet go hand in hand.

Nature-Led Creativity

Nature has long been a source of inspiration for art, and creative expression can deepen our connection to the world around us. Our exhibition, "Into the Seeds of Time," exemplifies this philosophy, and we invite you to explore it alongside hands-on artistic experiences.

Looking Ahead

As the climate shifts, so too must our mindsets and habits. This programme is more than just learning or creating —it’s about adapting, reconnecting with nature, and co-creating a future where resilience is deeply rooted in care, creativity, and community.

With each season, the garden evolves, and so do we. Join us —explore our workshops, visit the exhibition, and be part of a movement that nurtures resilience through collective action.

We look forward to welcoming you to OmVed Gardens and our ever-growing community.
