Volunteer with us for London Open Gardens

News

We are participating in this year's London Open Gardens and we need volunteers to show visitors around on Saturday 10 June and Sunday 11 June, from 9am to 5pm.

As a London Open Gardens volunteer, your main duties will be to welcome visitors, check tickets, and ensure that the garden is treated with respect.

No one will have to be on duty for more than half a day. Volunteering slots run from 9am to 1pm and 1pm to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

If you are able to help, London Parks and Gardens (LPG) will be offering a training day, a volunteer pack and a free ticket for the Weekend to visit other gardens. If you are interested in volunteering please send an email to sol@omvedgardens.com and the session you'd like to volunteer on (Saturday or Sunday AM or PM) and we will register you.

About London Parks and Gardens:
London Parks & Gardens is a small charity with a big mission to champion London’s historic parks, gardens, squares and green spaces for the benefit of everyone.

They do this by:

  • Researching and recording in their Inventory the history of green spaces across the capital. They make this information publicly available for free on their website.

  • Campaigning and making comments to ensure the interests of historic green spaces are fully accounted for in the planning process.

  • Running events, including walks and talks for their members, and London Square Open Gardens Weekend – a major annual celebration of London’s hidden green spaces that generates the vital funds they rely on the rest of the year.
