OmVed Gardens is seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to join our team as a Venue Sales and Events Executive. You’ll be joining at an exciting time of transformation, with new purpose-built spaces open for hire in the 2026 season. This role will lead in positioning OmVed as a distinctive venue hire destination while also supporting our public programme of weekly events. Our spaces host diverse events, from supper clubs and community gatherings to brand launches, corporate away days and private functions. This role is largely self-managed while you will work closely with and report to the Manager of Events.

Commitment & type of work: Part time role 20 hours a week (ideally 4 hours x 5 days)
The position includes some weekend work, with a minimum of two weekend days per month during the High Season (May - October) to support OmVed public and private hire events.
Reporting to: Manager of Events / Director
Type contract: Freelance contract
Pay Rate: £25/h + performance based bonus
Expected commencement: March

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales:
Business Development: (online and in person) Contribute directly to the venue's commercial success by expanding private hires working towards sales targets. This includes selecting the best methods for us to advertise our venue and managing key relationships. Putting Omved on the map for weddings, conferences, brand events, photo shoots etc. Experience in this field is required for this role. Using digital platforms and in person events as mediums for garnering business.
Private Event site visits: Manage bookings and facilitate site visits to prospective clients wanting to hire the venue for their event.
Database Development: Take ownership of enhancing our current directory/database of key contacts and radar organisations within the sustainability, wellness, and event industries. This includes researching and identifying relevant contacts, updating existing entries with accurate information, and expanding the database to include new potential collaborators, partners, and suppliers.
Administration
General Administrative Tasks: Assist with various administrative duties including but not limited to email correspondence, managing google drive, calendar organisation etc.
Event Listings & Calendar Maintenance: Manage the event listings and calendar for private and public events ensuring coherence across all platforms and teams.
Venue and Event Coordination:
Venue Support (Private Hire): Provide on-site support during private venue hire, including site preparation, furniture setup, vendor coordination, AV support, conducting security deposit checks, overseeing event pack-down, and ensuring guests vacate the premises by the agreed curfew.
Event Support (Public Program): Provide on-site hosting/support during events as needed, including site preparation, managing event and pack setup, registration, liaising with vendors, attendee assistance, and cleanup activities etc.
Supplier Communication: Coordinate with event management and catering partners to deliver smooth private events.
Freelance Event Hosts Coordination: Support a wider team of freelance event hosts in opening the site for public workshops, festivals and open days, ensuring effective communication, role delegation, time keeping, event debrief form review and overall ensuring they feel supported to host OmVed events effectively.
Minimum experience:
2 years experience in sales and marketing and 3 years event coordination
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in sales, marketing and business development. Confident to pursue and maintain relationships
Knowledge of expanding sales & private events
Previous experience in administrative support or event coordination is essential.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, online and in person. Able to speak in public effectively is a bonus
Great organisational abilities and attention to detail
Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with event management software/tools (e.g., Ticket Tailor) and Monday.com.
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Passion for sustainability, wellness, and community engagement.
Ability to handle a dynamic role and respond to curveballs with ease
Technical knowledge of AV set-up is ideal
