In this hands-on workshop, we’ll show you how to make quick, budget-friendly meals packed with flavour, nutrition, and variety. Using one of our favourite kitchen friends, the pressure cooker. You’ll learn to transform simple ingredients into exciting, satisfying dishes with ease.

Whether you’re new to cooking or looking to refresh your skills, this session will leave you inspired, equipped, and ready to cook exciting and delicious meals. 

You will learn multiple techniques to incorporate beans in your diet with ease learning dishes especially from the Indian subcontinent.

Who Can Take Part?

This workshop is open to all skill levels whether you’re a beginner in the kitchen or an experienced cook looking for fresh ideas.

Session Requirements

  • Bring an apron if possible

  • Wear closed shoes and practical clothing (long hair should be tied back)

  • Bring a tupperware or jar for leftovers

  • We are a vegetarian kitchen and will do our best to accommodate dietary needs, however we do not operate a strictly gluten free or nut free kitchen. (please inform us in advance).

About the host 

Diva Garg

Diva, our Events Manager and a freelance chef with a deep passion for Ayurveda and the rich culinary traditions of the Indian subcontinent. She explores how these flavors and practices can be adapted to the UK’s seasonal landscape. Through her cooking and research, Diva focuses on how the act of eating can be a way to nourish both ourselves and the planet. She runs a successful creative and seasonal supper club and cooks and teaches in community kitchens across London. @diva.garg_ @lucy.and.divas

A note on accessibility: The gardens are set on a hill, featuring steep paths and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Wheelchair access across the site is currently limited while landscape works are underway. For events, there is drop-off access by car to the Barn main building. If you require wheelchair drop-off, please get in touch with us ahead of time. There is an accessible toilet located inside the Barn.

Subsidised Tickets: We have a few reserved tickets at a subsidised rate. If this workshop is not monetarily accessible, please write to us at events@omvedgardens.com to avail yourself of a subsidised ticket rate. Subject to availability.
