Magnolia Flower Pickle

Kitchen Tips

We love seeing Magnolia trees in flower, a welcome sign of Spring and sunnier days! But did you know you can also eat them? They pack a delicious ginger punch.

Here’s a super simple way to pickle them and enjoy magnolia flowers all year round, by Josephine Marchandise, Head of our Creative and Regenerative Kitchen:

  • Pick some magnolia flowers (make sure you have permission if it’s not your tree)

  • Find a sterilised jar - add water, pepper, salt, vinegar and sugar. Give it a gentle shake to dissolve.

  • Keep it refrigerated for a week or two and that’s all, it’s ready to eat. Enjoy!
